About Me
My name is Alissa Dicker Schrieber. I’m a cooking instructor, food writer, and professionally trained chef. In the years I’ve spent teaching people how to cook, working in farmers markets, and serving as resident food expert among my friends and family, I’ve learned that anyone is capable of preparing simple, delicious food. The only catch: you have to know how to do it. I started The Kitchenista to give you the information, resources, and guidance you need so you can get cooking!
What's a kitchenista?
kitch⋅en⋅is⋅ta (kĭch-ən-ēʹstə) n. One who moves through the kitchen with ease. A kitchenista understands that some of the best food is also some of the simplest to make and, because of that, never feels daunted about cooking.
